WWE release statement on Ronda Rousey quit rumours ahead of Royal Rumble. WWE have issued a statement on the future of Ronda Rousey, on the eve of her appearance at Royal Rumble on Sunday.
It comes amid suggestions that the former UFC star will depart in order to start a family with husband Travis Browne.
Dave Meltzer, writing in the Wrestling Observer , claimed "everyone is working with the mindset that she’s finishing up” following WrestleMania 35.
However, Rousey is under contract with the company for another two years.
And in a statement released by WWE, the company took exception to the claims, declaring: "Ronda Rousey is under contract with WWE until April 10, 2021.
“Whether she wants to start a family is a private matter."
Rousey herself has also shot down reports that she would be leaving after the company's showpiece event in April.
She said: "I honestly don't know why [anyone] feels [they're] an authority to speak on plans for my uterus.
"If I responded every single time the world speculated what I was doing with my womb I would not have a free moment in the day.
"It's my vagina, my life, keep the speculations to yourself.
"Leave me and my reproductive organs alone."
Rousey will defend her Raw women's title against Sasha Banks at Royal Rumble, the scene where she made her debut 12 months ago.
