Nabil Fekir transfer speculation fuelled as playmaker is left out of Lyon squad. Lyon have left skipper Nabil Fekir out of their squad for their French Cup clash this weekend.
The French playmaker stayed with Lyon in the summer after his proposed move to Liverpool fell through.
Fekir looked set to stay until the end of the season at least, although he has just 18 months remaining on his contract.

That means he will have to sign a new deal or be sold in the summer with Lyon chief Jean-Michael Aulas determined to get full value for his player.
But just days into the January transfer window, he has been suspiciously omitted from the squad for the clash with fifth-tier Bourges Foot.
While Lyon boss Bruno Genesio is likely to make changes for the encounter, most of the other big names in his squad have made it.
Midfield pair Tanguy Ndombele and Houssem Aouar are both in the squad, as is Bertrand Traore.
Fekir has also attracted interest from Chelsea in recent months with Liverpool's interest in the playmaker seemingly ending in the summer.
Sky Sports pundit Graeme Souness suggested Liverpool were still missing a player like Fekir following their defeat to Man City on Thursday.
“I think it’s plain that Jurgen sees that’s an area that he needs to strengthen,” Souness said.
"He signed two and tried to get Fekir from Lyon.
“That would have been three midfield players he would have got from the start of the season, [but] they didn’t get him."
